Experiences in Bulletstorm

Bulletstorm was developed with the single player in mind… and what an outstanding SP mode campaign it has! The visuals alone are very crisp, vibrant and colorful. It is a bright environment compared to a many gritty and gray looking FPS games out there right now. The weapons and game mechanics are super smooth and although complex they are simple to execute without much training or a learning curve.

Although the cooperative mode is not a campaign, there is indeed a COOP mode. It's much like defending a single position and surviving an onslaught of enemy AI. Players get extra points for their style of killing the enemy AI. For example, kicking an enemy into a deadly cactus plant earns the player 50 points rather than the standard 10 points for just shooting the enemy. If payers work cooperatively to kill enemy AI, the rewards are even greater. For example, if player "A" whips an enemy into the air and player "B" shoots that same enemy… 1000 points!

The game language (and video below) is somewhat rough, but nothing not heard on cable TV and movies and The game has a language and gore filter to tone things down a bit. However, if you are looking for a purist language filer… forget it, go back to playing Pac-Man or Donkey Kong… most modern computer games use somewhat rough language and gore, so, get over it. We are all adults here and can handle it… I think. If you have kids or public computer area then get some headphones and a private computer game area.

As I praise the single player campaign mode, it is difficult to explain why the cooperative mode would be any fun or any value to the game. However, after seeing the fine qualities and features of the single player campaign, I think it becomes apparent.

I bought a non-STEAM version, but then bought again on STEAM … I recommend buying it via STEAM to begin with. Even if you buy the STEAM version, which I recommend, the game requires a Games For Windows Live account.

Granted, GFWL is annoying, but once set up and operating... I don't see why people are extremely against it. All you really have to do is keep everything organized... carefully write down setup and log-in information and passwords.

Here is a link to a demo version of the game.

==> GFWL: http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/games/bulletstorm/]http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/games/bulletstorm/
==> STEAM: http://store.steampowered.com/app/99810/

But it is fairly limited as many game demo versions are. So, I highly doubt the demo version gives the same experience (the full version is cheap enough... $20 STEAM).

Either the full version or demo version, STEAM is the way to go. When you first go to STEAMS website you might have to change the language (as in English or French or German).

STEAM: I purchase downloadable digital games though a game platform called STEAM. It’s a very small program that is basically a place to buy, download, organize and launch your games in one location as well as a well protected community from hackers and cheaters while playing your digital games.

Official Home Page ==> http://store.steampowered.com

Install Overview Guide (PC video is towards the bottom) ==> https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3046-ECVN-3712

* STEAM Support has many How-To guides and FAQs to help you.
