Advanced Warfare 2 (4.40 upgrade (& update 4.41)!

Post  AKMARK5000 on Mon Jun 25, 2012 5:02 pm

To cut to the chase, the iron sights zoom in and out a little (ie. M16, RPG, M4), which make it more like the previous 4.20 + MMG Medic Mod! In my view, the mod will never see the specialized MMG Brutus weapons, but I think the 4.40 upgrade (and update 4.41) is as good as it will be in terms of weapons.

Since the AW2 Mod 4.40 is a full setup, 4.00, 4.10, 4.20 and 4.30 are all included. As in the previous version, 4.40 upgrade (and update 4.41) has its own built in Medic Mod. This means that the medic character is able to carry any weapon combination and heal or revive fallen players.

The installation process is streamlined and much faster than previous installations. The Advanced Warfare 2: Upgrade 4.40 is now available at;

Do not get rid of the previous AW2 4.20 version which includes the MMG Medic Mod 4.22. When the time comes to install AW2 4.40 here's how I installed:

1. Download the FULL installation of the 4.40 upgrade onto the desktop

2. Install by double left clicking the Advanced_Warfare_2_v4_40_Full_Setup.exe (note windows vista/7 right click and run as administrator). The install window appears. Click next.

This installation window allows you to see where the mod will install. By default, the installation path or location should be something like;

C:\Program Files\Advanced Warfare 2 or C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Warfare 2.

Note that the default is good if all other versions of the mod are uninstalled. However, I kept all my previous versions in my NovaLogic folder. Since I knew exactly where I wanted the installation, I changed mine to C:\Program Files (x86)\NovaLogic\NovaLogic\JO - AW2 440 Mod. Alternatively, I could have clicked the browse option ("..."). This would have allowed me to visually navigate folders and locations. Anyway, make the necessary changes or not and then click next.

3. After clicking next, the install process begins. You get a shortcut on the desktop called Advanced Warfare 2.

4. Download a small 4.41 update to your desktop.

Double left click (note windows vista/7 right click and run as administrator). The install window appears. Click next. This installation window allows you to see where the mod will install. By default, the installation path or location should be something like;

C:\Program Files\Advanced Warfare 2 or C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Warfare 2.

When you start it up, AW2 4.41 presents you with a launcher screen. I won't go over every tab and feature and option, but I will feed you enough information to get you in-game quickly as possible.

- Click the Game Setting Tab and the appropriate window appears

- Click each section described below;

Game Mode = Choose between the regular version of AW2 (standard) or the AW2 Med Mod version where you can heal your fellow players and carry a variety of weapons.

EXE Version = "exe 1.7.1.9" is the choice most used.

Options = These set of options allow you to turn off the introduction movie and music which can be annoying after seeing/hearing them.

Menu Music = This section allows you to hear the AW2 music at the menu screen or not. You can even customize the music. Meaning, you could have Indiana Jones movie theme music playing at the menu screen! Just click the" … " button and navigate to an .mp3 or .wav file.

**IMPORTANT*** Save Settings = Click this button to activate the changes that you have just made!!

2. Start AW2! and you get the below menu screen (the speed at which it takes to get to the menu screen depends upon the options chosen… to play the AW2 intro movie or not).

The menu screen should look familiar, but its got a few new features. In the bottom right-hand corner is the med mod activity indicator (green check "on") and the version number 4.41. Above those, you can see AW2 Launcher. Clicking this just runs the launcher that we just talked about.

3. Click on Player and change your character to a Medic and you should be able to choose and combine all kinds of weapons. For example, my weapon load consists of a automatic rifle, sniper rifle, RPG launcher, flash bangs, grenades and satchels.

OK, that's the basic information. Now go play like always and…
