Here's a neat bit of info;

When transferring maps from one game or mod to another (ie. DFX => DFX2), objects can be missing due to a number of things like the object's file was replaced, deleted or renamed.

Anyway, these missing object (ie. tree, building, AI character or truck) leave behind blue diamond shaped markers that mark the object's placement an height. If you know what the object was supposed to be then you can manually modify it's attributes and it should be in the right position.

In the Mission Editor there's a tool to automatically find all the null objects in maps. I found it by accident after 3+ years of finding null objects manually.

For example, I was transferring map coop_cw25 to the DFX2 Black Ops Mod. A few objects showed up as "null objects" I wondered if there were more that I could not see right away. So, I choose the Integrity Check from the tools menu and selected "select all." All null objects where automatically highlighted thereby making them easy for me to visually find them.
